Michael Jackson was born in the American state of Indiana on August 29, 1958.  Michael, known as the King of Pop, was an American singer.  His love for music led him to stardom at an early age and became one of the most successful singers in American history.  His music and dance kept Michael Jackson at the center of popular culture for four decades.

Start of Carrier:

 Singers such as Bobby Taylor introduced the Jackson Five to Barry Gorde, head of record label Motown, and the Jackson Five's first release with the Detroit-based label, I Want You Back, topped the music charts in 1969.  Michael was only eleven years old at that time.  Over the next six years, the group produced hits such as ABC, Da Love You Save and I'll Be There.

Thriller:

 In 1982, Michael Jackson released his pop music album 'Thriller' which set a new history of pop music promotion.  This album is considered to be the best selling album in the world.  According to the Guinness Book of World Records, sixty five million copies of this album have been sold. Seven of the nine songs from this album were hits.

Bed and plastic surgery Repair:

 In 1987, in the video for his album 'Bad', Michael appeared in white, sparking rumors that he had undergone plastic surgery or skin bleaching.  But these rumors could not harm Michael Jackson's popularity and his album 'Bad' sold more than thirty million copies.  Following the album's popularity, Jackson embarked on his first solo tour.  In the 'Bad' concert, where magic tricks and lasers were used, at one point Jackson was seen passing over the heads of the audience on a crane.  In the closing days of the tour, Jackson wrote his autobiography, "I'm one of the loneliest people in the world."

Hep Hap:

 Seeing the popularity of hip-hop music, Michael Jackson hired musician Teddy Riley for his new album 'Dangerous' in 1991.  Although the album was not well liked by both fans and critics, it contained some of Michael's most popular songs.  These songs include Black and White, Remember the Time and In the Closet.

 During the promotion of the album, Jackson invited American TV host Oprah Winfrey to her ranch 'Neverland' to perform a show there, which Michael attended.  During the show, Michael Jackson revealed that his father used to beat him, that he had undergone two plastic surgeries and that his skin discoloration was the result of a disease that destroys the pores of the skin

Marriage:

 In 1994, Michael married Lisa Marie Presley, daughter of the late American singer Elvis Presley, which lasted only nineteen months.  In 1997, Michael Jackson was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and unexpectedly married Debbie Rowe, a nurse, with whom he had a son, Prince Michael.  In 1998, they both had a daughter, Paris Michael Catherine. In 1999, Michael and Debbie divorced, while the children remained with Michael.

Allegations:

 In 1993, the family of 11-year-old Judy Chandler accused Michael of child abuse.  Michael Jackson denied the allegations, but Los Angeles police raided Michael's home while he was on tour in the Far East.  Michael later settled with the child's family out of court for an estimated $20 million.  Judy Chandler's father admitted in a phone call that Michael Jackson was innocent and that the accusations were aimed at receiving wealth.

Statues

 In 1995, at a time when the crown of the emperor of pop music was falling from Michael's head, Michael Jackson installed his tall statues to promote his new album 'His Story' in Europe.  These albums consisted of CDs of his most popular songs and new songs.  The following year, Michael performed his hit song Earth Song at the Brit Awards.

Decline in reputation:

 In 2003, Michael's new album 'Invisible', produced over a period of six years, stayed on the music charts for only six weeks.  Only one song from this album 'Rock My World' was released worldwide.  Jackson attributed the lack of publicity to the album's failure, saying that the lack of publicity was due to his refusal to renew his contract with Sony.

 Meanwhile, Michael's personal life was once again in the news after he wrapped his 11-month-old son Prince Michael in a blanket and hung it from a German hotel window.  In a TV documentary, Michael admitted that he sleeps with his children.

Arrest:

 In 2003, police raided Michael's Never land Ranch again, and a warrant was issued for his arrest for allegedly abusing a fourteen-year-old boy, Gavin Arvizo.  Michael handed himself over to the police and was handcuffed and taken to the police station.

 The trial lasted for five months and the court acquitted Michael.  After the lawsuit and the bankruptcy news, Michael jackson settled in Bahrain.

Returns:

  In March 2009, Michael announced at a press conference that he was making his last foray into the world of pop music and that he would be returning with a fifty-concert tour in London.  Seven and a half million tickets for these concerts were offered for sale and all the tickets were sold out in the first few days.  In May, organizers of the show changed the dates for the first few shows, saying that Michael Jackson needed more time for rehearsals.  But their return was not possible.  And Michael Jackson died.

Death:

 On June 25, 2009, Michael Jackson died in Los Angeles at the age of 50 due to cardiac arrest due to an unusual amount of propofol in the body as a result of an injection.
