Early Life:



He moved with his family to Mumbai in 1935 for business.  Before acting, Yusuf Khan was a fruit trader along with his father, later he set up a fruit stall in the military canteen in Pune.  The sandwiches prepared by him in the canteen were quite popular.

 But one day in the same canteen, he was arrested for supporting India's freedom struggle.

 After this incident, Dilip Kumar returned to Mumbai and joined his father's business.  He also started selling pillows which was not successful.

 Once his father entrusted him with the task of going to Nainyal to buy an apple orchard, Dilip Kumar signed the contract by paying a deposit of Rs.  He got a lot of praise from his father for this.

Marriage:



On 11 October 1966, Dilip Kumar first married actress Saira Banu, who was 22 years younger than him.  In 1981, he got married for the second time to Asma Rehman, a lady from Hyderabad.  But this second marriage did not last long and got divorced in 1983.

 Dilip Kumar had no children from these two wives.  Dilip Kumar has revealed that in 1972, "Saira Bano was full of hope but in the eighth month of pregnancy, Saira Bano developed complications and finally the doctors could not save the baby."  After that, both of them never tried again, understanding God's wil.

Hajj:

Saira Banu and Dilip Kumar traveled to Mecca in 2013 and performed Hajj together.

Political life:



 Dilip Kumar was nominated by the Congress Party to the Upper House of Parliament and thus he was a Member of Parliament for six years.

Dilip Kumar's performance shows a strong artist who sometimes becomes emotional and sometimes serious and knows how to make you laugh while crying.  Even today the Bollywood film industry considers him as the best actor and people also acknowledge it. Dilip Kumar was one of those actors in the film industry of his era whose style was emulated by boys and was adored by his co-heroines as well as common girls.  There were talks of his love for heroine Madhubala, but due to some reason, this love died and both were separated in life.

Honors:



 While he was honored with numerous awards, he was also given the Dada Sahib Phalke Award, the highest honor in Indian cinema.  In 1998, he was awarded Pakistan's highest civilian award, Nishan Pakistan, by the Government of Pakistan.  

Death:

Dilip Kumar, who passed away on July 7, 2021, under treatment at Hinduja Hospital Mumbai, the doctor revealed that the actor was in the fourth stage of cancer, which was incurable. The doctors revealed that the actor was undergoing treatment for the last three to four months.  ,.  According to the doctors, Dilip Kumar's kidneys had also failed due to which he was given multiple blood transfusions.  Doctors say that actor Dilip Kumar was not responding for the past few days, his blood pressure was also low. Dilip Kumar was 98 years old at the time of his death. His last resting place is Juhu Cemetery in Santa Cruz, a famous area of in ​​Mumbai.
